Unique Selling Point of KMC to the Impact Pathway

1) Messaging We can help you differentiate yourself from other CRPs, organizations, initiatives, and help you define a clear identity and message

2) Realising your Impact Pathway to allow for funding and scaling Up a) Our knowledge management skills can help you design your impact pathway, and help you through things that you should be thinking about and maybe are avoiding (think outside the box, and think outside comfort zone)

b) Incorporating communications and knowledge management in your impact pathway helps to give an extra edge, and demonstrates to donors that you have an uptake plan (increase chances of funding because donors WANT THIS)

3) Developing and tracking Impact We can track the reach of your research products, and be part of monitoring and evaluation, help track progress and synthesize feedback on project life cycle

4) Targeting for impact and funding a) We can help plan and strategize for the most appropriate medium and channels to target specific audiences b) We can translate and repackage science into other medium and materials to reach next-users, be it policymakers, donors, farmers or education areas c) we can help to disseminate to various audiences

5) Internal communications and engagement We can help you communicate better with partners and improve linkages between projects in and across CRPs

6) Capacity Building We can improve communication and knowledge management capacities/abilities across different roles and responsibilities (writing, editing, photography, data management etc.)

Ideas for taking it forward:
